Is Viva Money real or fake?

Real! Viva Money is a trading name of Digitonomy Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Viva Money is a UK-based credit broker, not a lender. We work with a large panel of over 30 direct lenders, who are also authorised and regulated by the FCA.

Is vivamoney.co.uk legit?

Yes, vivamoney.co.uk is legitimate; this is the domain of our official website.

Important: we go by the name Viva Money.
We are not called
Viva Loans, Vivaloan, Viva, Viva Finance, or Viva.com.

Please note that there is another finance company called Viva Money based in India (www.vivamoney.in). We are not affiliated with this company in any way.

Warning: be wary of scams and clone firms

It’s important to be aware that criminals may use the name or clone the website of a legitimate company in a bid to trick people into sharing their personal and financial information.
These criminals are very good at what they do.
You should check a webpage very carefully before filling in an application form. Criminals may use a very similar domain name, which could go unnoticed at first glance. For example, someone trying to impersonate Viva Money might use a website address such as v1vamoney.co.uk, replacing the ‘i’ with a ‘1’.

Is Viva Money safe to use?

Yes, Viva Money, www.vivamoney.co.uk, is safe to use.
We are a credit broker authorised and regulated by the FCA. All of your personal data is confidential and kept secure in line with UK GDPR. You can find out more in our Privacy Policy.

Will I be charged a fee for using Viva Money?

No – the Viva Money credit broking service is free to use. Viva Money will never contact you to ask for money, gift cards, or vouchers as an admin or insurance fee. If you receive a text or an email from somebody claiming to be from Viva Money, asking you to send a payment, please do not respond to it but report it to Report Fraud.

Is Viva Money a direct lender?

No. As discussed, Viva Money is a credit broker.
We work with over 30 direct lenders to try to match you with a loan suitable for your circumstances.
The lenders on our panel offer short-term loans between £100 and £10,000, with a range of repayment terms from 3 to 60 months, depending on the amount of money you apply to borrow.

Using a credit broker could help protect your credit score from multiple hard searches. Viva Money uses soft search technology, which will not change your credit score or leave a visible mark on your credit file.*

When you make an application for credit with a direct lender, you’ll need to undergo a creditworthiness assessment. This will involve a hard search or an Open Banking check. If you apply with multiple lenders, you run the risk of many hard searches being carried out, and this could harm your credit score.

Who is eligible for Viva Money?

You can use Viva Money’s credit broking service if you:

  • Are over the age of 18;
  • Are a UK resident;
  • Have a UK bank account and a valid debit card; and
  • Have a regular source of income paid into your bank account.

Loans for bad credit: search with Viva Money

Looking for a bad credit loan? Viva Money could help you search.
We work with a number of lenders who specialise in loans for people with bad credit.
Please be aware that a bad credit loan could come with a higher rate of interest.

How does Viva Money work?

  1. If you meet our eligibility requirements, you could begin your search for a loan at www.vivamoney.co.uk. Tell us how much money you need to borrow and how long you’d like to borrow it for. Our online form should take no longer than five minutes to complete.

  2. Using soft search technology, we’ll scan our panel of lenders for a loan.

  3. If we match you with a loan, you’ll be redirected to the lender’s website, where you can decide whether you’d like to make a full application.

  4. Happy to go ahead with the loan? At this point, the lender will carry out a creditworthiness assessment, which will include a hard search or an Open Banking check.

  5. If you pass the lender’s checks, you’ll officially be offered the loan.

Some of the lenders on the Viva Money panel could send your money the same day your application is approved.**

Need help with money?

Whether you’re concerned about the cost of living, your level of debt, or anything else, please know that help is available. Organisations such as StepChange, MoneyHelper, Citizens Advice, and National Debtline offer free advice and support.

*If you’re matched with a loan through a search with Viva Money and choose to make a full application with the lender, they will carry out a creditworthiness assessment. This will include a hard search or an Open Banking check. Please be aware that a hard search will be visible on your credit file, and undergoing multiple hard searches in a short period of time will have a negative effect on your credit score.

**Payout timescales vary between lenders. The time it takes for the money to become available in your account will depend on your bank’s policies and procedures.
